Buona Pasqua!




I'm headed to the US over Easter (Pasqua in Italia), but my sweet landlady Anna brought me this cute little cake. It is traditional from the town of Bacoli where we live. It tasted a bit like bread with star annis (licorice) flavor and a caramelized glaze. It's pretty cute but this is about as elaborate as most cakes get with decorations here :)
